Choosing Plastic Chairs For Commercial Spaces

Start With The Application

A chair for a restaurant, an event supplier and a retail assortment may need different specifications. Begin with the intended setting, the way the furniture will be handled and the amount of storage space available. Then compare models against the same written brief.

State whether the order is for indoor use, a sheltered area or outdoor exposure. If outdoor performance matters, ask for information relevant to that use rather than treating a product photograph as proof of suitability.

Compare The Actual Dimensions

Check overall width, depth and height, seat dimensions and seat height. For armchairs, include armrest clearance and the space available around the table. A matching visual style does not by itself confirm a comfortable fit.

For tables and coordinated sets, review the tabletop dimensions, overall height and chair arrangement together. Use a sample or measured layout where seating comfort and access are important.

Review Material And Construction

Record the material specified for the model and ask what is included in the quotation. Review the backrest, armrests, leg design, feet and surface finish against a physical sample where possible.

For any required load, stability or durability performance, provide the intended use and ask for relevant test information for the exact model. A material name or a general claim about strength is not a substitute for model specific evidence.

Plan Storage And Packaging

Check whether the selected model is designed to stack and request the recommended stacking and packing information. Confirm the packed dimensions, packing quantity and measures used to limit rubbing during handling.

Consider the route from delivery to storage and final use. Doors, storage racks, vehicles and the way staff move the furniture can all affect which product is practical.

Prepare A Consistent Buying Checklist

Check Record Before Ordering
Model And Material The exact model and the material included in the quotation
Dimensions Overall size, seat dimensions, seat height and table fit
Color And Appearance Approved color reference and acceptable surface finish
Quantité Quantity per model and per color
Packing Packing method, quantities, dimensions and labeling
Acceptance Approved sample or specification and agreed inspection points

Keep the approved specification with the purchase order. It gives the buyer and supplier the same reference when discussing samples, production and repeat orders.
